1. Gerard Van Zeijl

        Bio
        Gerard Van Zeijl is professor emeritus in architecture history and theory at Eindhoven University of Technology. After qualifying as a structural engineer at Delft University of Technology he specialised in architecture history. As a professor at Eindhoven University of Technology he was instrumental in helping define ‘the Eindhoven School’. He has also been a guest speaker at various venues in the Netherlands and abroad, including the European Association for Architectural Education. After earning his doctorate with a thesis on Durand’s architectural treatises in 1993, he was appointed a professor at Eindhoven University of Technology and the Free University of Brussels. He led the doctoral research project ‘Architecture for the Long Term’ and, in addition to articles in various journals, has several buildings to his name. He is currently working on the book Voorbij de zeven dagen van architectuur (Beyond the Seven Days of Architecture).

          OASE #107 The drawing in landscape architecture and urbanism

          OASE invites everyone to read the Call for Abstracts for OASE #107.
          We are interested in two kinds of contributions that each start from the drawing:

          1. Textual contributions: historical or theoretical papers about a (series of) drawing(s).Proposals contain one image and an abstract of 300 words.
          2. Visual contributions: a specific (series of) drawing(s) from personal/actual practice.These proposals contain the drawing(s) themselves and a caption of a maximum of 300 words through which the proposal is situated within the theme of the issue.

          Proposals must be submitted via info@oasejournal.nl by 20 December 2019 and contain a title and CV (name, email address, affiliation and a bio of maximum 150 words). Proposals must be submitted in Dutch or English.
