- Vanstiphout Earth and Excavation WorksThe Essential Delusion of a Possible History
- Abstract
- In this conversation with Wouter Vanstiphout, professor of ‘Design as Politics’ at Delft University of Technology, the possibilities of convergences between education, policy and spatial design are discussed. Vanstiphout is convinced that design is a form of politics and politics a form of design. By thoroughly analysing and even provoking the political, a new set of design instruments emerges. The aim is not only to ‘prepare grounds’, but also to effectively intervene. Vanstiphout, Crimson Architectural Historians and ZUS recently founded The Independent School (for the City) in Rotterdam.
