- The System of LearningGuido Canella’s Teaching Theatre
- Abstract
- In the tradition of Ernesto Nathan Rogers, Italian architect Guido Canella tried to instill in his students an autonomous critical consciousness. They were invited to reflect on their position, also by looking back on previous pedagogical experiences. In his design studios from the 1960s, Canella focused on one subject, such as the school, the theatre, the prison, the university or the exhibition hall. He tried to radically renew education by defining it as a theatre piece, enacted by students and professors.
