Paola Viganò

Paola Viganò is an architect and urbanist, and professor in Urban
Design at the EPFL and the IUAV. She received a Doctor Honoris
Causa from the UCLouvain in 2016, the Grand Prix de l’Urbanisme
in 2013, the Flemish Award for Architecture in 2017 and the
career Golden Medal from the Milan Triennale in 2018. In 1990
she founded Studio with Bernardo Secchi and StudioPaolaViganò
in 2015, winning international competitions and working on urban
projects and public spaces. One of her recent publications is The
Horizontal Metropolis: A Radical Project (2019), coedited with
Chiara Cavalieri.
