Kirsten Schipper

Kirsten Schipper obtained a PhD from the University of Groningen in 2023 with a dissertation titled Architecture as an Act of Culturel: Architecturel­Historical Research into the National Architecture Policy. She works as an independent researcher, editor and curator for the Dutch College of government advisors and the government architect. Recent publications include ‘Architectuur als culturele daad: de bouwkunst tussen politiek verheffingsideaal en neoliberale marktwaarde’ (de Architect, 2024), ‘Gebrek aan culturele ambitie van het Rijk nekt Architectuur Lokaal’ (Archined, juli 2023) and ‘Van metselaar tot filosoof’ (Bouwmeesters, 2021).
