Francisco João Silva

is an architect from Portugal. At FAUP, he developed his master’s thesis on the evolution of housing and its adaptation to the individual user. After finishing his studies, he worked in
the office of Jean Nouvel, collaborating on projects such as the National Museum of Qatar in Doha, Qingdao Artist Garden and master plans in Shenzhen. With several prizes on competitions and published articles in architecture and urbanism journals,
he continues to do research on the impact of space on society’s daily life. Currently he works at Sou Fujimoto Architects, where he is developing a hybrid building complex in Lyon, France.
