Elizabeth Keslacy

is an architecture historian and theorist whose research explores the museology of architecture, the history of architecture education and professionalisation, and the history of ideas in architecture. She is currently at work on a monograph tracing the history of the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum entitled When Decoration Became Design. Her work has been published in the Journal of Architectural Education, Footprint, Thresholds and Lotus International. Keslacy teaches architectural design and history at Miami University in Oxford, OH. She earned a M.Arch from the Southern California Institute of Architecture and a PhD in architecture history and theory from the University of Michigan.
