Carmen Popescu

Carmen Popescu is a historian of art and architecture whose research is structured around three main themes: the intricate connections between architecture, on the one hand, and ideology and politics on the other; architectural historiography; the dialogue between art and architecture. She has presented the results of her research in numerous publications and interventions at national and international events. She is a founding member of the EAHN (European Architectural History Network) and of the AHA (Association de l’Histoire de l’Architecture), associations for which she fulfilled several functions. Carmen Popescu is professor of Architecture History at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Bretagne (Rennes).
