Antonio Giráldez López

Antonio Giráldez López is a professor at Universidad Andres Bello in Chile. He obtained his doctoral degree in Advanced Architectural Projects at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid (UPM), a Master in Advanced Architectural Projects at ETSAM, and graduated as an architect at the ETSAC. His lines of research are focused on contemporary border-building and spatial violence, a work that has been published in academic journals and congresses and was granted the Unbuilding Walls Travel Grant 2019 by the curators of the German Pavilion at the Venice Biennale in 2018. Parallel to his research activity, he is co-founder and co-publisher of Bartlebooth (bartlebooth.org), a publishing house and para-academic research platform focused on critical spatial practices, which has been awarded internationally.
