        • Learning Space: The Leopoldo Rother Museum of Architecture in Colombia

        Abstract
        The Leopoldo Rother Museum of Architecture (LRMA) is part of a heritage and museum system within the National University of Columbia. Since 2011, the museum not only hosts exhibitions, conferences and collections’ research, it also opened its doors to Lunárquicos, an architecture education initiative consisting of a series of workshops with children and teenagers to increase awareness of architecture as a creative discipline and as a daily experience. Considering that education and interpretation are increasingly become core functions in the twenty-first century museum, relevant questions arise concerning the pedagogical role of the LRMA. Drawing from recent interviews, this paper focuses on Lunárquicos and the challenges of transforming the LRMA into a learning space.
