- Abstract
- The current architecture culture is characterised by unstable phenomena So far, this instability does not affect the building as an end result, but it does influence the way in which that end result is achieved. Buildings are generated through new media from the very first fresh
idea. This affects everything down to the reservations where the intellectual heritage of architects is preserved: the collections of the architecture institutes. What changes have been noticed there? A conversation on the subject held with three of the Western architectural heritage’s
most important archival collectors offers an overview of things that have changed and things that have not: Sofie De Caigny of the Flanders Architecture Institute (VAi), Behrang Mousavi of Het Nieuwe Instituut Nederland (HNI) and Martien de Vletter of the Canadian Center for Architecture (CCA).
