- Use as FormAn Open Question
- Abstract
- Use and ways of appropriating space reveal a hidden, less
immediate, sometimes invisible architecture that represents
a deeper meaning and relates to crucial social themes
such as inclusiveness, accessibility, identity and memory.
The article investigates the role designers may play in
constructing the versatile and open relation between form,
society, use, identity and symbolism, a relation in which the
‘emotional architecture’ and the ‘architecture of use and
appropriation’ may emerge.
