- OMA’s Collages
- Abstract
- The OMA archives hide several collages
fabricated from layers of cardboard, newspaper
clippings, plastic, wood, iron wire
and even macaroni. Mathieu Berteloot and
Véronique Patteeuw analysed these ensembles
of waste material as ‘creative instruments’.
The bas-reliefs for the façades,
the line drawings with inserted copied
fragments of consumer catalogues and the
axonometric collages of spatial sequences
testify to OMA’s non-compositional approach
and contribute to the materialisation
of the office’s architectural signature
in this period.
