- Abstract
- Good architecture does what it is supposed to do. What is more important is that architecture also means something because it creates clarity. The life that unfolds inside architecture has to deal with decisions, and encounters clarity and resistance. Activities and forms of differentiation are made clear, for instance, by walls, rooms and doors. At the same time, architecture never dissolves into the meanings it supports. The most specific way architecture can support difference consists of articulating time and reminding human beings that their own death is not the end of the world.
