- An Architecture Close to its Inhabitants
- Abstract
- The quality of architecture can be found in the way it can be appropriated by its occupants. Modern architecture produces dominant forms that suppress the individual expression of its occupants. Good architecture is an architecture that is close to its residents. Legislation provides a way to assign rights to the users of a property. These residents can become actively involved. Through appropriation principles, residents can be encouraged to work on a liveable urban environment.
