- Abstract
- Belgian architect Christian Kieckens wonders how modern and classical ideas have been integrated into today’s architectonic project in Europe. In his contribution he philosophises on the rich and varied character of analogue architecture, based on Colquhoun’s article ‘Postmodernism and Structuralism: A Retrospective Glance’ (1988). Kieckens argues that analogue architecture was based on typological, topological and tectonic concepts and that such coherent and consistent principles seem to be disappearing in today’s digitalised context.
