Thordis Arrhenius
Architect SAR, PhD, professor of Culture Heritage at Linköping University, Sweden. Arrhenius’s research interests concern the exhibition of architecture in mass culture,
the relation between architecture and the museum, and the curatorial aspects of preservation. She is at present developing a crossdisciplinary project on the welfare state, its cultures, politics, materials and agents, that aims, through studying the ‘making’ of the welfare state, to contribute to the understanding of how the material heritage from the post-war period is valued today. Recent publications include Place and Displacement, Exhibiting Architecture (2014, edited by Arrhenius, Lending, McGowan and Wallis) and Experimental Preservation (2016, edited by Arrhenius, Langdalen and Otero-Pailos).
