Sevgi Türkkan

Sevgi Türkkan completed her dissertation, entitled Making and Breaking Authorship, Potentials in Architectural Design Studio, in 2017 at Istanbul Technical University (Architectural Design Programme). She has taught architectural design studio and theory courses at the ITU Faculty of Architecture since 2004. Her published work in international books, journals and conferences, as well as research and curatorial projects, mainly dwells on architecture theory, architecture education, and questions of authorship and use in architecture. In 2009-2010 she was granted a Fulbright Visiting Scholarship to attend Columbia GSAPP in New York. She completed her post-doctoral research on the ‘Pedagogy of the Loge’ in 2018-2019 at research laboratory IPRAUSUMR3329 in Paris. She is a member of EAAE Education Academy’s Scientific and Organisation committee.
