Julie Mabilde

Julie Mabilde was trained as architect-engineer and is an advisor and project director in the Team of the Flemish Government Architect. She coordinates research by design within the platform LABO RUIMTE (space lab) – a collaboration between the Flemish Government architect and the Flemish Department of Environment, to study the impact of societal challenges and longterm evolutions on cities and landscapes. She also advises public authorities on questions regarding space and architecture, and she is a member of the jury evaluating urban renewal projects for Flemish urban policy. Since May 2020 Julie Mabilde is the president of the Quality Chamber of the city of Torhout.
