Cornelia Escher

Cornelia Escher teaches History and Theory of Architecture at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. Her research and publications focus on the history and theory of architecture in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, the interrelation of architecture and the arts, the global history of architecture as well as architecture and sociology. Her publications include the book Zukunft entwerfen (2017) as well as articles in Arch+, the Journal of Urban History and the Journal of Architecture. In 2019 she curated exhibitions at the CIVA in Brussels (‘Negotiating Ungers: The Aesthetics of Sustainability’, with Lars Fischer) and at the FRAC Centre in Orleans (Homo Faber: A Narrative’).
