Alexandra Arènes

Alexandra Arènes is an architect and PhD researcher at the
University of Manchester. Her interests include the Anthropocene
and the study of the scientific initiative Critical Zone to renew
Earth visualisations. She cofounded SOC (Société d’Objets
Cartographiques) in 2016. Her works include an installation at the
ZKM Museum for Art and Media in Karlsruhe, for the exhibition
‘Critical Zones: Observatories for Earthly Politics’ (2020) and the
book Terra Forma, manuel de cartographies potentielles (2019).
