Hans Vandermaelen

— is a PhD researcher at the Department of Architecture & Urban Planning of Ghent University and at the Research Institute for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food ILVO (Ghent University), resear ching the urbanisation of the agroecologi cal use of living soils. He is a participant of the SUGI-project ‘Urbanising in Place’ (http://urbanisinginplace.org) which
seeks to define components of an agroecological urbanism together with communities of practice in Rosario, Riga, Brussels and London.
