Ludovico Centis

Ludovico Centis is an architect, founder of the architecture and planning office The Empire and co-founder and editor of the architecture magazine San Rocco. Centis has a PhD in urbanism (Università IUAV di Venezia). He was a partner at architecture office Salottobuono from 2007 to 2012. Centis is a visiting school head at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London and was a post-doc research fellow in Architecture and Urbanism at Università IUAV di Venezia from 2019 to 2022. In 2017, he initiated the on-going exhibition series ‘Reyner Banham: A Set of Actual Tracks’. Centis was awarded a 2018 Getty Library Research Grant in Los Angeles and a 2020 Paul Mellon Centre Research Support Grant.
